Summary
Create your own decals with this high quality, inexpensive water-slide decal paper for laser printers. This paper can be used with most laser printers, ALPS printers and color copiers. It is recommended to test a couple of sheets with your printer or copier to ensure compatibility prior to producing multiple copies.
Application
The main use of this paper is for creating transfers decals for various uses such as: model trains, planes, cars, soap, candles, wood, furniture, plaques, plastic objects, computer frames, cardboard, ceramic, glass, enamel, metal plus other surfaces.
Should I Use White or Clear Decal Paper?
The "Rule of Thumb" is to use white decal paper when you apply your decal to a dark surface and clear decal paper when you apply your decal to a light surface. When following this rule, the decals can be printed and applied easily.
Home printers do not print the color "white". When you print an image on white paper that has the color "white" in it, the white color you see is actually the color of the white paper ... not ink. If you printed the same image on clear decal paper ... the white area will be transparent ... no ink.
Instruction
- Cut out the graphic you want
- Immerse the paper in water in about 5-10 sec,the fixing paper will absorb enough water and can be seperated from the water transfer paper.
- Hold the paper(two layer together) and transfer it to the surface of your substrate.shift the paper a little bit. use your figer to hold the water transfer paper in position.pull and shift the fixing paper away slowly.shift and fix the water transfer paper onto the position you want.
- Use the paper towel or a piece of the cloth to squessze the water.avoid excessive pressure that may shift or damage the water transfer paper.
- When applying to large area,you may use a plastic squeegee to squeeze the air bubble and water away.
- After approx for about 10mins, the printed graphic will transfer onto the surface of the substrate.use a forceps to peer off the transparen covering paper.
- When dried,place the subject in the oven and baked.the baking temperatuer and curling time various with different materials.please refer to the following chart for details.
